| Abstract: | This book presents an overview of some deviant practices namely: drug abuse, alcoholism and drunkenness and sexual deviance among adolescents in secondary schools in Kenya. The study involved students in girls, boys and mixed secondary schools in Bungoma County, Kenya. It looks at some of the deviant socio-cultural practices that exist; establishes what drives adolescents into drug abuse, alcoholism and drunkenness and sexual deviance; the times or occasions when adolescents in secondary schools indulge in drug abuse, alcoholism and drunkenness and sexual deviance; and to establishes the mechanisms, put in place by secondary schools administration to counteract the effect of deviant socio-cultural practices among adolescents. |
