The study involved students in girls, boys and mixed secondary schools in Bungoma County, Kenya. It looks at some of the deviant socio-cultural practices that exist; establishes what drives adolescents into drug abuse, alcoholism and drunkenness and sexual deviance; the times or occasions when adolescents in secondary schools indulge in drug abuse, alcoholism and drunkenness and sexual deviance; and to establishes the mechanisms, put in place by secondary schools administration to counteract the effect of deviant socio-cultural practices among adolescents.en_US
