Alectra vogelii is a parasitic weed that attacks cowpea, groundnut, soybean and
other tropical legumes causing between 70 and 100% crop loss in susceptible cultivars.
Studies were conducted to identify fungal antagonists that would effectively control A. vogelii
weed for integration into current Alectra control measures. Wilting A. vogelii plants were
sampled from 28 cowpea fields in lower Eastern Kenya and 28 Fusarium oxysporum
isolates obtained from the weed. Seven F. oxysporum isolates with good viability on white ... |
